Dr. Olive Usher
Dr. Olive Usher is a dedicated family physician with a diverse background in obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, family medicine, and intensive care. A graduate from South Africa in 2006, Dr. Usher moved to Alberta, Canada in 2012, driven by her passion for travel and her commitment to improving patients’ lives.
She began her career in rural central Alberta, providing family practice care and emergency services in the village of Consort. After completing her 3-year contract, she worked in Carstairs and Didsbury for four years before settling in Airdrie at Kings Medical Centre.
Dr. Usher’s goal is to collaborate with a strong healthcare team to deliver coordinated care, focusing on trust and respect with her patients. She runs a comprehensive family practice, including services such as child health, physical exams, geriatrics, obstetrics (low-risk prenatal care), minor surgical procedures, and women’s health services like Pap smears, IUD insertions/removals, contraception counseling, and breast exams.
Dr. Usher also offers partial walk-in services, though patients are encouraged to call ahead for appointments.
